About
I’m Lloyd Edwards, a singer-songwriter based in Bath, working where music and therapy meet.
Music has been my working life for nearly twenty years: performing, teaching guitar and drums, producing, and running community music projects, including songwriting with veterans at Help for Heroes and work with Wiltshire Young Carers. That work showed me what songs can do for people, and it led me to train as a music therapist.
I’ve completed my training on the MA Music Therapy at UWE Bristol and expect to register with the HCPC in autumn 2026. I also hold an MMus in Songwriting and a BSc in Music Technology. My thinking is shaped by Jungian psychology, Buddhist philosophy and the writing of Alan Watts. Through my own framework, Co-Alchemy, and my research method, Interpretative Phenomenological Songwriting (IPS), I explore the space between people where change happens.
